oops, nearly forgot i had a blog to update...

alright, so its been ten days since i've written anything new...sorry everybody! i didnt mean to keep everyone waiting on me, but now that i'm here, i'm gonna update.

last time you viewers tuned in, i had finished my last exam and spoke of romantic times spent on the waterfront with Keli. a few days after that (i believe it was on tuesday) i threw a mad-bash as Cole would call it. both Matt and Matt were there, Step, Juli, and Keli were all there. seriously great times! Cole and Keli arrived early so as to assist me with cleaning the apartment, ie, my washroom because thats what needed the most work. the washroom sparkles clean even now, the day after Christmas, lol.

My washing machine showed up that day as well, while the bathroom was being cleaned. After a short test run, i was convinced that it works fine and so i am now the proud owner of a fully functional washing machine and dryer. go me! woot, lol.

Shortly after cleaning had finished, Juli arrived and so we all walked to Song Hees, a local chinese take-out place with food that smells good, and tastes pretty good, but CANT be good for you in any way, shape, or form. regardless, we ate it anyway. while eating said food (if you can call it that), we watched the beginning of Spaceballs. i've only seen bits and pieces of this movie, and i intent to see the whole movie in its entirety before i die, lol.

After a few more people started showing up, we decided to switch over to watching Beerfest, which was quite the riot. a truly great movie, and totally entertaining, especially when you've got a drink in hand, which many of us did ;)

Upon the end of the movie, the Matt more built like a truck asked if i would make a small liquor run with him, so we went forth and did so, and in the process acquired a honeydoo melon. we brought it home and i cut a hole in it, poured tequila into it, and set it in the fridge. several hours later, we consumed said tequila melon, and it was pretty tasty :D

Eventually the party quieted down, but not before i took a few pictures, all of which were blurry, but were hillarious none the less. around eleven thirty, Step took Keli home, and those who remained just sat and chilled, shootin the shit and laughing, the usual. i believe that when everything was said and done, i was in bed and asleep by 3, lol.

So for about three days i did laundry, but only because the dryer is so freakin small, i can only dry less than half of a load that i wash, but hey, at least it works right? i mean, its not like when i open the door to the dryer when its on that it keeps spinning or anything...*shakes fist*

I received my grades on the 20th...i was worried and kinda scared shitless, mostly because i didnt wanna look dumb in front of those who matter to me. but in the end, i came ahead better than i expected to...
Russian : 80%
Anthropology: 79%
Psychology: 52% (hey, its a pass right? and that means i can take Psych 1001 with my Keli next term!!!!)
Spanish: 47%

i'm not worried bout spanish tho, i didnt really need it, so i dont care ;p

laundry was done by friday the 22nd, which was also my nephew Mark's birthday, but unfortunately, i was unable to call him until christmas eve, but i did call none the less. hes 13 now...scary how fast they grow up

so i spent my christmas eve evening at Keli's place while her folks went to church. originally it was planned that we were all gonna go to church, but Keli has been sick on and off all term and it decided to come back with a vengence, so i kept her company while her folks were out. when they returned, we sat in their living room and chowed down on a wonderful array of snacks and there was this amazing crab dip (keep in mind, i dont care much for sea food, but i now have this crab dip recipe), and i had a couple of drinks. all in all a good night.

Christmas Day

so i woke up around ten thirty to the sound of my alarm clock, got up, turned it off, and lie in bed until about eleven, when i received a telephone call from my friend Megan, wishing me a merry christmas. we chatted for a few minutes and then i decided to shower and wake up. at about ten minutes to noon, i called and apparently woke up my folks (they live in saskatchewan). they loved their gifts from me. i got dad a t-shirt and hat combo that both said "The Republic of Newfoundland", i got my mom a reversable stuffed toy that can be either a moose or a puffin (she prefers it as a moose, lol), and i got my brother a t-shirt that says Jesus Saves on it, but its got a picture of jesus in goalie gear catching a hockey puck, lol. after talking to all three of them, i called my sister and wished her and her family a merry christmas as well. she couldnt chat for long tho, she was cooking dinner, but thats okay, i love her anyway.

around two-ish, i got a phone call from Keli telling me that her and her dad were gonna come to pick me up so that i could join them for dinner, so i quickly got ready and put the gifts i got for them into my backpack. they came and got me, then we went to their place. i was greeted at the crotch by their huge dog who goes by the name of Mozart, and i hugged Keli's mom. i discovered that the turkey was still a couple of hours from done and that they didnt have a pan to put it in, so they had to rig up an effective way to cook it. they used what looked like some kind of grilling rack and a pan underneath it to catch its juices. honestly, i believe the idea was freakin awesome! i just wish i had come up with it :)

so it turns out that santa made a trip to Keli's place for me last night as well! i got this awesome faux fur throw blanket which is black in colour, and it looks positively amazing! Keli's parents gave me a dish tray for drying my dishes, some dish drying towels, dish soap, chai tea, and a cutting board, all things i could really use :)

Keli gave me an awesome shirt that says The Most Heroic Word In All Languages Is Revolution, and it looks and feels great :D. she also gave me this stainless steel bracelet which i also love very much!!! it looks awesome and i slept with it on last night :D

so i gave Keli's parents their gift: a bottle of wine that i partially wrapped (hey, i thought it was a good idea :P) and to Keli, i gave her a stuffed mother and baby penguin, and a matching necklace and earring set. i was terrified that she wasnt gonna like them, i mean, i've never bought her jewellery before, so i had no idea what to expect, but she did like them, and she loved the penguins as well, so that was an awesomer that cant be competed with :)

Keli and i finished our movie that we had begun on christmas eve (Love Actually) while we waited for the turkey to finish cooking. after the movie was finished, we went back upstairs and helped out wherever we could to make this dinner stuff go faster, which wasnt very much, lol.

For dinner we ate Turkey (obviously), mashed potatoes, green beans with butter on top, mashed squash (mmmmmmmm), cranberry sauce, dressing, and we all had a glass of alcohol-free champaign, which was surprisingly better than champaign WITH alcohol :D we all ate our fill until all we could do is just sit at the table and go "uhhhh that was goood....but now i cant move..."

After a couple of hours of sitting and digesting, we cleared the dishes and sat in the living room where we continued our digestion. the cat Marcello finally decided to grace ourselves with his presence, apparently he was exhausted from jumping thru ripped open christmas wrapping paper and decided to nap all day, up until this point. we sat around chatting and then Keli's folks decided to walk the dog, so Keli and i decided to cuddle on the couch downstairs while we awaited their return. when they got back, we all watched Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and sat laughing at Captain Jack for the night.

The movie done, Keli and her dad drove me home and bid me a good night. i sat on msn for a couple of hours talking with a few people, including Keli and then i went to bed.

so now we are up to date. i spent the majority of this afternoon updating. if i left anything out, let me know and i'll see what else i can remember, lol. and to any of you reading this who are deciding to go Boxing Day shopping TODAY: DONT. shopping today is like placing your face in a bear trap.

Merry Christmas!!!!
