oops, nearly forgot i had a blog to update...

alright, so its been ten days since i've written anything new...sorry everybody! i didnt mean to keep everyone waiting on me, but now that i'm here, i'm gonna update.

last time you viewers tuned in, i had finished my last exam and spoke of romantic times spent on the waterfront with Keli. a few days after that (i believe it was on tuesday) i threw a mad-bash as Cole would call it. both Matt and Matt were there, Step, Juli, and Keli were all there. seriously great times! Cole and Keli arrived early so as to assist me with cleaning the apartment, ie, my washroom because thats what needed the most work. the washroom sparkles clean even now, the day after Christmas, lol.

My washing machine showed up that day as well, while the bathroom was being cleaned. After a short test run, i was convinced that it works fine and so i am now the proud owner of a fully functional washing machine and dryer. go me! woot, lol.

Shortly after cleaning had finished, Juli arrived and so we all walked to Song Hees, a local chinese take-out place with food that smells good, and tastes pretty good, but CANT be good for you in any way, shape, or form. regardless, we ate it anyway. while eating said food (if you can call it that), we watched the beginning of Spaceballs. i've only seen bits and pieces of this movie, and i intent to see the whole movie in its entirety before i die, lol.

After a few more people started showing up, we decided to switch over to watching Beerfest, which was quite the riot. a truly great movie, and totally entertaining, especially when you've got a drink in hand, which many of us did ;)

Upon the end of the movie, the Matt more built like a truck asked if i would make a small liquor run with him, so we went forth and did so, and in the process acquired a honeydoo melon. we brought it home and i cut a hole in it, poured tequila into it, and set it in the fridge. several hours later, we consumed said tequila melon, and it was pretty tasty :D

Eventually the party quieted down, but not before i took a few pictures, all of which were blurry, but were hillarious none the less. around eleven thirty, Step took Keli home, and those who remained just sat and chilled, shootin the shit and laughing, the usual. i believe that when everything was said and done, i was in bed and asleep by 3, lol.

So for about three days i did laundry, but only because the dryer is so freakin small, i can only dry less than half of a load that i wash, but hey, at least it works right? i mean, its not like when i open the door to the dryer when its on that it keeps spinning or anything...*shakes fist*

I received my grades on the 20th...i was worried and kinda scared shitless, mostly because i didnt wanna look dumb in front of those who matter to me. but in the end, i came ahead better than i expected to...
Russian : 80%
Anthropology: 79%
Psychology: 52% (hey, its a pass right? and that means i can take Psych 1001 with my Keli next term!!!!)
Spanish: 47%

i'm not worried bout spanish tho, i didnt really need it, so i dont care ;p

laundry was done by friday the 22nd, which was also my nephew Mark's birthday, but unfortunately, i was unable to call him until christmas eve, but i did call none the less. hes 13 now...scary how fast they grow up

so i spent my christmas eve evening at Keli's place while her folks went to church. originally it was planned that we were all gonna go to church, but Keli has been sick on and off all term and it decided to come back with a vengence, so i kept her company while her folks were out. when they returned, we sat in their living room and chowed down on a wonderful array of snacks and there was this amazing crab dip (keep in mind, i dont care much for sea food, but i now have this crab dip recipe), and i had a couple of drinks. all in all a good night.

Christmas Day

so i woke up around ten thirty to the sound of my alarm clock, got up, turned it off, and lie in bed until about eleven, when i received a telephone call from my friend Megan, wishing me a merry christmas. we chatted for a few minutes and then i decided to shower and wake up. at about ten minutes to noon, i called and apparently woke up my folks (they live in saskatchewan). they loved their gifts from me. i got dad a t-shirt and hat combo that both said "The Republic of Newfoundland", i got my mom a reversable stuffed toy that can be either a moose or a puffin (she prefers it as a moose, lol), and i got my brother a t-shirt that says Jesus Saves on it, but its got a picture of jesus in goalie gear catching a hockey puck, lol. after talking to all three of them, i called my sister and wished her and her family a merry christmas as well. she couldnt chat for long tho, she was cooking dinner, but thats okay, i love her anyway.

around two-ish, i got a phone call from Keli telling me that her and her dad were gonna come to pick me up so that i could join them for dinner, so i quickly got ready and put the gifts i got for them into my backpack. they came and got me, then we went to their place. i was greeted at the crotch by their huge dog who goes by the name of Mozart, and i hugged Keli's mom. i discovered that the turkey was still a couple of hours from done and that they didnt have a pan to put it in, so they had to rig up an effective way to cook it. they used what looked like some kind of grilling rack and a pan underneath it to catch its juices. honestly, i believe the idea was freakin awesome! i just wish i had come up with it :)

so it turns out that santa made a trip to Keli's place for me last night as well! i got this awesome faux fur throw blanket which is black in colour, and it looks positively amazing! Keli's parents gave me a dish tray for drying my dishes, some dish drying towels, dish soap, chai tea, and a cutting board, all things i could really use :)

Keli gave me an awesome shirt that says The Most Heroic Word In All Languages Is Revolution, and it looks and feels great :D. she also gave me this stainless steel bracelet which i also love very much!!! it looks awesome and i slept with it on last night :D

so i gave Keli's parents their gift: a bottle of wine that i partially wrapped (hey, i thought it was a good idea :P) and to Keli, i gave her a stuffed mother and baby penguin, and a matching necklace and earring set. i was terrified that she wasnt gonna like them, i mean, i've never bought her jewellery before, so i had no idea what to expect, but she did like them, and she loved the penguins as well, so that was an awesomer that cant be competed with :)

Keli and i finished our movie that we had begun on christmas eve (Love Actually) while we waited for the turkey to finish cooking. after the movie was finished, we went back upstairs and helped out wherever we could to make this dinner stuff go faster, which wasnt very much, lol.

For dinner we ate Turkey (obviously), mashed potatoes, green beans with butter on top, mashed squash (mmmmmmmm), cranberry sauce, dressing, and we all had a glass of alcohol-free champaign, which was surprisingly better than champaign WITH alcohol :D we all ate our fill until all we could do is just sit at the table and go "uhhhh that was goood....but now i cant move..."

After a couple of hours of sitting and digesting, we cleared the dishes and sat in the living room where we continued our digestion. the cat Marcello finally decided to grace ourselves with his presence, apparently he was exhausted from jumping thru ripped open christmas wrapping paper and decided to nap all day, up until this point. we sat around chatting and then Keli's folks decided to walk the dog, so Keli and i decided to cuddle on the couch downstairs while we awaited their return. when they got back, we all watched Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and sat laughing at Captain Jack for the night.

The movie done, Keli and her dad drove me home and bid me a good night. i sat on msn for a couple of hours talking with a few people, including Keli and then i went to bed.

so now we are up to date. i spent the majority of this afternoon updating. if i left anything out, let me know and i'll see what else i can remember, lol. and to any of you reading this who are deciding to go Boxing Day shopping TODAY: DONT. shopping today is like placing your face in a bear trap.

Merry Christmas!!!!

X-mas break!!!

alright, so, i wrote my final FINAL EXAM last night, and i'm hoping for at least a pass...i'm kinda terrified tho, cause i've got this sinking feeling that i wont get the credit, and that makes me sad. after teh exam was done, Kel and i went downtown in the hopes of watching a band put on a tribute to Tool...but upon our arrival to downtown and getting into club Distortion, we discovered that the chances of us seeing the band get on stage BEFORE 2 am was practically nil. so instead, we walked around a little bit, and then went to the waterfront and looked at the beautiful lights set up in the shape of an xmas tree. we proceeded to walk along the waterfront, looking at ships, and i stopped on occasion to try to read a few of the ship names, especially the ones in russian...

Kel: so ben, what does that one mean?
Benji: *reads to himself in russian*
Benji: thats the New Sweat...lol. well, its the new something, but the second word sounds like sweat! lol XD

all in all, a fun night was had by the two of us :D

went to bed and got up at 11 this morning because my mother believed it was time to call me and rip me from a good sleep. yay. i told her i was tired and going back to bed. so what does she do? lets two hours pass and calls me AGAIN! thanks mom, thanks for ripping your son from his sleep after a rough exam and a late night, us here at BENJI Corp. truly appreciate it....

Sarcasm aside tho, it was good that she called a second time, it was time to get up and i needed to take care of some things today, like pick up my mail order fruitcake and finish my christmas shopping. showered, got dressed, etc. went out in the rain to get fruitcake, but luckily, i traced out a map for myself to follow so as to not have to take a super long route to get there, and sure enough, it only took me fifteen minutes to get there and another fifteen to get back.

i then proceeded to the mall, met up with Col and C (a mutual friend of mine and Col), completed my shopping business, and am now home having pleasant conversations over msn with both Col and Jul, and i've been trying to get ahold of the gentleman who sold me my washing machine that leaked and soaked my floor. hopefully everything pans out good from that, because i just wanna relax and not have to worry anymore about trying to wash laundry in my bathtub.

anymcwhosin, waiting for my Kel to come online, hopefully that'll be soon, i miss her a wee bit :)

FREEDOM!!!!!!!!!

3/4 of my exams are done...

so...i've one more exam to occupy my time...Psychology. this beast shall rock my world for the next three days until i write the exam on friday (in three days) night, at seven p.m. and it was just brought to my attention earlier that my exam is absolutely the LAST exam of the term. of course this means that it will rape me in the eye. TWICE. and when its done, it will point at me and laugh, and probably even belittle me to the point of tears. but once thats done, i'm gonna go have a Gaping Lotus Experience at Distortion with an absolutely FANTASTIC woman who knows how to have fun, Ke (slowly but surely, i'll have everbodys name filled in in full, but for now, its more fun to do it the slow and hard way, right Ju? :P).

so yeah, gaping lotus experience...i love tool, and i love a great idea. and Ke had a great idea the other day: lets go see the gaping lotus experience. it is a tribute to tool, and should be revered by all *REVERE IT!!!!!!!* *SHAKES FIST*. reverance aside, i'm pretty pumped about it because it'll be the first time in a few weeks (by a few, i mean MANY) that i'll be able to spend time with Ke and not think "oh shit, i've gotta study tomorrow," and i'm gonna live it up as much as i can :D

so yeah, i completed two of my four exams today, Anthropology and Spanish. anthro worried me a lil, but i'm pretty sure i passed the exam. spanish scares the living shit out of me and shall not be placed before me in a learning setting ever again :)

having said that, my Russian exam last week went extremely well. i'm so freakin glad i made it my minor. its easy and fun and occupies my brain more than once a day. i'm hooked, i'm sold ;)

so Ju was attacked by a flock of ninjas. this concerns me. note to self: lend Ju my kung fu weapons of minor destruction, and lend her some durable clothes.

and yes, the truth is finally out: I HATE EGGS. i refuse to eat them, and if cooked for me, i will find some way of discarding them that involves grenades, dynamite, traffic, or some other highly entertaining method of food removal that doesnt involve me eating it.

in other news, i'm expecting an apricot fruit cake in the mail. oh mom, why? i mean, its tasty and all, but come on, you're sending me FRUIT CAKE in the mail...having said that, when it arrives, i will probably eat it before the weekend is over, stale or not, lol.

so i've been living here in st.john's, newfoundland, again for nearly four months now, and i've concluded that it is home, for now. my parents live in saskatchewan, my brother lives with them, and my sister lives on the other side of newfoundland in stephenville. none of these places are my home, and i wont be seeing any of my family for xmas. however, the people whom i've come to know and care about here are my MUN family (you know who you are!!!! :D)

anymcwhosin, once more unto the breach

Unto the Breach...

So, i've finally done it: i've created a blog.

This shall be a small window into the life that is mine, but warning! reader descretion is strongly advised: some writing shall contain scenes of stupidity, hillarity, AND, if you're lucky, nudity...but i highly doubt the nudity part...i mean, reading nudity? not very exciting in my book :P.

Anymcwhosin...i'm here at the UC takin a small breather from the excitement that is catching up on my anthropology readings...about two hundred pages to go...eep. but thats life, and i'm alright with that.

And now for the extreme and ultimate truth of who i really am....i'm a PANDA. i've been on the run from the Pandasia government since i was about the size of a can of diet-pepsi, and i'm now in my secret location that shall not be disclosed to anybody...(hey, can somebody give me a lift to my place? its on Liverpool Ave...really? awesome! i'll meet you here when ur ready!)...completely secret from everybody, and nobody will find me, muahahahahahaha!

i'm not exactly sure why i laughed maniacally, but hey, i think its just one of those days where it would suit me good to do so. tuesday will be another one of those days for me...between now and tuesday i must study my A$$ off...tuesday i have an anthropology exam, and i'll be ready for it. tuesday night, i have a spanish exam. i dont know ANY spanish....wait! i do know some...hablo espanol es muy ano...that roughly means that i speak spanish like ass, lol.

anywho, i'm gonna get back to my reading, for i shall be visited soon by a truely amazing woman who is gettin out of an exam...for now, i shall refer to her by the first letter of her first name, and call her K. i'm also being met by a mutual friend of mine and K, whose name i shall also only refer to by first letter of her first name, so i'm calling her C. so K and C shall be here soon, and our other wonderful counterpart J, K and I's faithful Panda Avenger, is at work and cannot be here, but when she reads this, i'm certain she will laugh :D

my pet!
